This privacy policy explains what information is collected when you visit generationalresilience.com (the “Site”), how it is used, and the choices you have. The Site is the home of Generational Resilience: Breaking Generational Cycles by Diana Oskov.
Who we are
The Site is operated by Revealed Mind, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), the company through which Diana Oskov publishes Generational Resilience. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, you can reach us through our contact form.
Information you give us
- Email sign-ups. If you sign up to hear about the audiobook or other book news, we collect your email address and a record of your consent. Sign-ups use double opt-in: you are only added after you click the confirmation link we email you.
- Contact and book club forms. If you send us a message, for example to request a book club visit, we collect the information you enter, such as your name, email address, and message.
Information collected automatically
- Site analytics. We use an analytics tool that runs on the Site itself and stores its data with our website host rather than with an outside analytics company. It records information such as the pages you view, the website that referred you, your general location (country or city), and your device and browser type, so we can understand how the Site is used.
- Advertising measurement. We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API to measure how well our Facebook and Instagram ads work. When you visit the Site or click a link to buy the book from a retailer, information such as the pages you viewed, the retailer link you clicked, your IP address, your browser information, and an identifier from the Meta ad you clicked (if any) is shared with Meta Platforms. Meta may use this information to measure ad results and to show ads to people who may be interested in the book. Meta’s use of this information is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy.
- Security. Our security provider processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details to block malicious traffic, and to check that form submissions come from a person rather than an automated program.
How we use your information
We use your information to send you the emails you asked for, reply to your messages, keep the Site secure, understand how visitors use the Site, and measure and improve our advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money.
Service providers we use
We rely on trusted third-party providers to run the Site, including providers of website hosting, email delivery, security and bot protection, and font delivery, as well as Meta for advertising measurement as described above. These providers process your information to deliver their services to us, under their own terms and privacy policies.
Links to retailers
When you choose to buy the book, you leave the Site for a retailer such as Amazon, Bookshop.org, Barnes & Noble, Apple Books, Kobo, or the IngramSpark shop. Your purchase and any information you give the retailer are governed by that retailer’s own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details or order information from retailers.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. The Site uses:
- Advertising cookies and similar technologies. Third parties, including Meta, may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect or receive information from the Site and elsewhere on the internet, and use that information to measure ad results and deliver targeted ads.
- Security cookies set by our security provider to protect the Site from malicious traffic.
- Administrative cookies set by WordPress, only for people who log in to manage the Site.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also manage how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.
How long we keep information
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep messages you send us for as long as needed to respond and follow up. Analytics data is kept in summary form to understand trends over time.
Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
- You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you through our contact form.
- If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law, such as California, you may have additional rights, including the right to opt out of the sharing of your information for targeted advertising. To opt out, contact us through our contact form or adjust your browser and Meta ad settings as described above.
- If you are in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, we rely on your consent for marketing emails and advertising cookies, and on our legitimate interests for security and basic site analytics. You may withdraw consent at any time, and you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
International visitors
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be processed outside your home country.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
